Our sustanable approach to our crowns
In a world where fast fashion dominates, we take a different approach at Malka London. We believe in creating unique, sustainable Crowns that not only make you look good but also feel good about your choices.
The Environmental Impact of the Fabric Industry
The fabric industry has a significant environmental impact due to its high resource consumption, pollution, waste generation, and carbon emissions. It is also a major source of pollution, with toxic chemicals used in farming and processing contaminating water supplies, and synthetic fabrics shedding microplastics that pollute oceans. Additionally, the industry generates large amounts of waste, both from the production process and discarded textiles, much of which ends up in landfills. The energy-intensive nature of fabric production, especially for synthetic fibers like polyester, further contributes to the industry's substantial carbon footprint.
from end-of-stock fabrics to crowns
We sourced our material from reliable suppliers in London that sell end-of-stock fabrics. They are high-quality materials from larger production runs or surplus fabric stock that other brands or manufacturers did not use. By repurposing these materials, we give them a new lease on life, transforming what could have been waste into beautiful Crowns. This approach not only minimises the environmental impact but also supports a circular fashion economy, where resources are reused and valued rather than wasted.
handmade in london in small batches
We take great pride in crafting our Crowns in London, where every item is made with care and attention to detail. Small batch production allows us to closely match supply with demand, significantly reducing the risk of excess inventory and the environmental impact of overproduction. This system ensures that we only create what is needed, maintaining the highest quality in every Crown. Additionally, by keeping our production local, we support the London economy, providing jobs and contributing to the growth of skilled craftsmanship in our community.
